This handbook is one of the most complete and comprehensive books of its kind on chemistry. It has been written primarily for the students who are pursuing their undergraduate courses in Chemical Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Medicine and allied subjects. But it can also be used by other students pursuing courses in all branches of science and technology (including Computer Science), engineering (including Civil Engineering) and technology (including Electrical Engineering). The book covers a wide range of topics like Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry. It also contains some very interesting topics like Electrochemistry, Biochemistry, Synoptic Table etc. The Handbook is divided into different sections which covers various concepts in these respective fields. Each section is further divided into different chapters; each chapter is composed of different topics. The book also contains a wide range of solved and unsolved problems. The contents and structure of the book has been carefully designed keeping in view the syllabus and standards prescribed by different universities, colleges and educational boards in India. It can be used as an independent textbook for all undergraduate courses either in pure or applied science or in engineering (including civil, mechanical, chemical, electrical etc.) many other professional courses (like medicine, pharmacy). The Handbook of Chemistry vol-1 consists 11 sections which covers almost all the major topics in pure & Applied Chemistry courses. The list of sections are given below. The Handbook of Chemistry vol-2 consists 11 sections which covers almost all the major topics in pure & Applied Chemistry courses. The list of sections are given below. The Handbook of Chemistry vol-3 consists 11 sections which covers almost all the major topics in pure & Applied Chemistry courses. The list of sections are given below.PREFACE I have attempted to prepare this book for undergraduate students in coursework and also for competitive examinations. I have used simple language, wherever possible, to make it easily understandable by students starting their journey in Chemistry. It is a humble attempt to provide in one volume the knowledge of Chemistry and allied subjects in a systematic manner. This book contains many solved and unsolved questions which will help in revising and in getting the type of questions in the competitive examinations. This handbook has been prepared in such a way that it can be used at various levels - school, college, higher education, research laboratories etc. Hence, I sincerely hope that it will meet the requirements of many teachers and students at different levels. I express my sincere thanks to Prof (Dr.) Dharmendra Sharma (Department of Chemistry, Amity University), Prof (Dr. ) Anil Varma (Head of Chemistry Department, Amity University) and other members of the editorial board for their valuable suggestions, support, encouragement and criticism in the preparation of this book. Experts in Chemistry have dedicated their lives to learning information. This book has been prepared keeping in mind the needs of students in undergraduate courses. It does not contain extensive illustrations which are considered by many to be an essential part of a textbook for introducing new concepts or concepts with complex mathematical formulae. There are no separate chapters on physics, principles of modern technology etc., which are considered basic to any undergraduate course in Chemistry. However, I have tried to provide every student with separate topics that cover all aspects of modern chemistry. cfa1e77820
